TIMELESS DRAWINGS

Graphite pencils, a timeless drawing material, and my favourite medium can produce texture and depth in black and white. With no colour incorporated into the portrait, the expression and character of the subject is magnified.

I use Caran d’Ache Grafwood pencils which are produced in Switzerland, and they produce a huge variety of densities ranging from a fine grey 4H to a deep, dark black 9B, on Saunders Waterford paper.
